"In motion like water, in stillness like a mirror. Respond like an echo; Become subtle as though vanishing." ~ Chung=Tzu "Perceive freshly as you enter the world of continual emergence. That rock-bottomed essence of your mind, is always there, as if waiting to be noticed."

Have you ever met a person Who fulfilled you deep inside, Someone whose never failed you And stands right at your side. Someone who gives all they have And brings sunshine all around, Always smiling and laughing, Never seeming down. Have you ever watched a sunset Across the ocean shore, And been filled with love and peace, Never needing more. Have you ever listened to the wind Blowing restless through the night, And heard angel's whispers helping you To see when you've lost sight? Have you heard a song that moves you And sets your soul free, And makes you forget your anger And makes you feel happy? Have you ever given to someone When you didn't have it to spare, And feel so worthy inside, That you didn't have a care? Heavenly creatures surround you, So listen closely to what they say, They'll bring you all of life's riches, As they guide you along your way! ~~ Author Unknown~~

~Today Is Here~ Today is here, as fresh as rain, No given reasons, hidden pain. A new book opens, what is this fear, Footsteps uneasy, the path unclear. Familiar faces, they are no more, Feelings exposed, emotions raw. The past has gone, today is here, Tell me reasons, my heart feels sore. Words are cheap, our actions speak, What we give, we shall one day reap. Memories flooding, wrapped in love, Fly me home, on the wings of a dove. Please hold me tight, help me see the light, Energies weak, no need to fight. Sit awhile, turn the page, Don't let this sadness, turn to rage. Feel the moment, not the past, Let memories linger, forever last. This storm will pass, guide us to the sun, With new beginnings, help us to carry on.

From Gandi
Hatred ever kills, love never dies such is the vast difference between the two. What is obtained by love is retained for all time. What is obtained by hatred proves a burden in reality for it increases hatred. Fear of death makes us devoid both of valour and religion. For want of valour is want of religious faith. There are times when you have to obey a call which is the highest of all, i.e. the voice of conscience even though such obedience may cost many a bitter tear, and even more, separation from friends, from family, from the state to which you may belong, from all that you have held as dear as life itself. For this obedience is the law of our being. Insistence on truth can come into play when one party practises untruth or injustice. Only then can love be tested. True friendship is put to the test only when one party disregards the obligation of friendship. The test of friendship is assistance in adversity, and that too, unconditional assistance. Co-operation which needs consideration is a commercial contract and not friendship. Conditional co-operation is like adulterated cement which does not bind. It may be long before the law of love will be recognised in international affairs. The machineries of government stand between and hide the hearts of one people from those of another. A vow is a purely religious act which cannot be taken in a fit of passion. It can be taken only with a mind purified and composed and with God as witness. Religion is a matter of the heart. No physical inconvenience can warrant abandonment of one's own religion. Non-cooperation is an attempt to awaken the masses, to a sense of their dignity and power. This can only be done by enabling them to realize that they need not fear brute force, if they would but know the soul within. Whenever I see an erring man, I say to myself I have also erred; when I see a lustful man I say to myself, so was I once; and in this way I feel kinship with everyone in the world and feel that I cannot be happy without the humblest of us being happy. To forgive is not to forget. The merit lies in loving in spite of the vivid knowledge that the one that must be loved is not a friend. There is no merit in loving an enemy when you forget him for a friend.

A treasure to be cherished, A gift from God above; Is the beauty of a friendship, Touched by unconditional love. A love that asks no questions, Believes in all the best; Never doubting, ever trusting, Withstanding any test. A love that weathers any storm, And yet that love still stands; Through the very darkest hour, It still reaches out a hand. There in that hand the sweetest gift, That you can give a friend; A heart that cares, a love that shares, That will be there till the end. A treasure to be cherished, A gift from God above; Is what I share with you my friend, An unconditional love.

ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ The more fully we share our thoughts, feelings, and experiences, the more we learn from them. Other people help us define and validate our opinions, emotions, and reactions. In the process of thinking out loud, describing my feelings, or experiencing an event with a friend, I can often learn more than I would have by myself. I discover feelings I didn't know I had, I see possibilities that previously had not occurred to me, and I am aware of details I might have missed. We are blessed indeed when we have friends who care about us, who listen to what we have to say, and who accept us as we are. If we have found it difficult to trust other people in the past, we may need to make a conscious effort to cultivate the kind of friendship that gives us the support we crave. What we find is that people treat us pretty much as we treat them--if we are open, sincere, and accepting, we will attract the same kind of behavior in return. We are learning that the more of ourselves we share with others, the more we get back in return and the more we learn. I will share a part of myself today that was previously hidden. from the book, Inner Harvest by Elisabeth L. copyright 1990 |

| Happiness is here +++++++++++++++++++ Happiness is far too valuable to be put off until later, or buried in the past. Happiness is here for you to bring to life in the only place where you can truly experience it, the present moment. Being happy right now will not make your problems any worse. In fact, it will most likely make things better. Your happiness will not harm or offend anyone else. In fact, it may very well be of much value to others. Happiness has no prerequisites, no conditions which must first be met, really no requirements at all. Experiencing happiness does not in any way deplete it, but increases the supply of it. Stop waiting for happiness to come to you and start letting it come from you. And there will always be more than enough to go around. Ralph Marston ![]() |
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high Where knowledge is free Where the world has not been broken up into fragments By narrow domestic walls Where words come out from the depth of truth Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit Where the mind is led forward by thee Into ever-widening thought and action Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake ~ Tagore

The
Hearth Around the fire we friends in a group stretch our our arms and warm our hands. All of us take great comfort from these coals. Beyond the window a blizzard swirls in the night. These snowflakes are each of them unique, like fingerprints, or souls. Modern Meditation from St. Petersburg, Russia
